It was an offensive onslaught for South Christian in their blowout victory over Middleville. In the end, they defeated their rivals 43-2, to move to 5-0.

Jake DeHaan scored the lone touchdown in the first quarter. His 7-yard touchdown gave the Sailors a 7-0 lead. Early in the second quarter, DeHaan tossed a touchdown to Carson Vis, a 29-yard scoring play. This duo linked up on the next scoring drive as well, a 9-yard touchdown. A safety near the end of the half allowed South Christian to take a 23-0 lead to halftime.

Early in the second half, South Christian added to their lead. Nate Brinks‘ four-yard carry put the Sailors ahead by 30.

Middleville finally got on the scoreboard with a defensive safety. That would be their sole contribution to the scoreboard. South Christian would wrap up the game with two more touchdowns. First, DeHaan and Vis connected on a 33-yard touchdown. Finally, Sam Baar carried the football for a 7-yard score.

Jake DeHaan was 12/15 passing for 174 yards. He also led the team with 32 yards passing. Next week, the undefeated Sailors will take on Grand Rapids Catholic Central. Middleville (2-3) will take on Forest Hills Eastern.
