Tri-Unity 62 Fruitport Calvary Christian 31: The Eagles were doubled up by the Defenders in Alliance League action. It was 22-20 Tri-Unity at halftime, before the victors turned up the dial, outscoring FCC 23-2 in the fourth quarter. Brady Titus scored 27 to lead all scorers for Tri-Unity, including 13 in the fourth quarter. Ethan Cammenga (12 rebounds) and Bradley Richards (10 rebounds) paced FCC.

Potter’s House 79 Grand River Prep 34

Wellspring Prep 83 Holland Black River 46: The Wolves captured their third win of the year, as they beat the Black River in conference play. Mathwes Tekeste hit six triples for Wellspring, finishing with 24 points. Zeekeal Jackson (18), Caleb Schaur (12) and Leslie Nghdro (9) also had strong scoring efforts for the victors. Atif Usmani (17) and Jonah VanderMeer (10) were in double figures for the Rats.

Fremont 61 Central Montcalm 54: The Packers earned a tough win over the Hornets. Jordon McDonald scored 31 points to tie a season-best for Fremont. McDonald added 9 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists. Joey DeLong added 12 points. Fisher Hill led CM with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Eric Hall added a career-high 12 for the Hornets.

CSAA SILVER

Holton 48 White Cloud 30: The Red Devils defeated the Indians in CSAA Silver action. It was close at halftime (25-21), but the second half went the way of Holton. Wyatt Monette led the victors with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Carter Brant added 12 points and 5 assists. Jared Watson (9) and Taylor Bode (8) paced White Cloud in defeat.

Kent City 71 Morley Stanwood 45: The Eagles won all four quarters, creating separation in the third quarter (24-12). Hayden Carlson led Kent City with 21 points, while Kyler Larson (17) and Jaret Jaramillo (11) were also in double figures.

Lakeview 44 Hesperia 35: The Wildcats and Panthers battled throughout this game, but a 15-0 second quarter edge by Lakeview proved to be too much for Hesperia to overcome. Maddox Mosley paced Hesperia with 18 points.

Ludington 76 Manistee 39

Muskegon Catholic Central 62 Orchard View 49: The Crusaders captured their third straight victory, earning some momentum as they move to 3-4 in Lakes 8 play. Sam Kartes led the box-and-one charge that limited OV star Darius WIlliams to just four second half points. Once the Crusaders took the lead in the third quarter, they never let it go. Jaden Johnson had 14 second half points, recording his 8th straight double-double. Dane Rutz added 14 points, 6 assists and 8 rebounds, while Braden Gustin had a 11-point, 12-rebound double-double. Tramel Caviness came off the bench to give MCC 10 points and 3 blocks.

Western Michigan Christian 51 Muskegon Heights 50: Owen Varnado was the hero at the buzzer, laying in the game-winner for WMC on Friday. He finished with a game-high 22 points, while Sam Liggett (11) and Joe Waller (8) added strong offensive efforts.

Unity Christian 62 Allendale 48: The ‘Saders defeated their rivals, as Gabe Newhof scored a game-high 20 points for the victors.

West Catholic 80 Hamilton 65: The Falcons took down the Hawkeyes in OK Blue action on Friday. Michael Morris had a big night with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Kobe Kambestad (19 points, 7 assists), Caleb Tuttle (15 points, 6 steals) and Noah Arsulowicz (9 points, 5 steals) joined in on the offensive efforts. Justin McIllwain scored 23 points to pace Hamilton in defeat.

Grand Rapids Catholic Central 88 Forest Hills Eastern 60: The Cougars defeated the Hawks in a battle of the OK Gold’s top two teams. Kaden Brown hit six triples to finish with 27 points. Jack Karasinski (19), Durral Brooks (16) and Jorden Brooks (12) were also in double figures as GRCC improves to 13-1. Jacob Pallo (15), Owen Hardy (12) and Mac DenBraber (12) did the same for FHE.

Kenowa Hills 62 Wayland 40

South Christian 76 Middleville 55: The Sailors defeated the Trojans in OK Gold action. Jake Vermaas (19), Jake DeHaan (17) and Carson Vis (15) led South Christian with double-digit scoring efforts.

Holland 51 Zeeland East 49: The Dutch slipped past the Chix, thanks to 20 points from Jackson VanHekken. Jacob VanHekken added 14. Layne Risdon (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Connor Schipper (10 points) paced the Chix in defeat.

Mona Shores 47 Union 41: The Sailors started the third quarter on a 15-2 run, allowing them to outscore the Red Hawks in the second half by 12 points. Parker Swartz paced Mona Shores with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Keontae Richards added 13 points. Kyale Lockridge led Union with 10 points.

Muskegon 59 Zeeland West 17: The Big Reds got out to a 14-3 first quarter lead, and they kept the Dux to just nine points in the first half. Zeeland West would add eight points after halftime, allowing Muskegon to remain undefeated.

Wyoming 58 Reeths-Puffer 53: The Wolves edged the Rockets on Thursday evening by five points. Both teams had a big quarter in the first half, which kept the game close at 19-17 Puffer. Wyoming won the last two frames to pull off a victory. Ramere Draper (17), Jordan Love (17) and Quadir Hatchett (12) were in double figures for Wyoming. Travis Ambrose (23 points, 15 rebounds) and Jaxson Whitaker (14 points) led the way for Puffer.

Rockford 64 Caledonia 53: The Rams defeated the Fighting Scots at home on Friday. A 25-9 first quarter was pivotal for Rockford in securing this victory. Jack Lamancusa (23), Caden Pokorzynski (11) and Charlie Deutsch (11) each finished in double figures for the Rams. Nic Bender (13) and Liam Mulnix (11) did the same for Caledonia in defeat.

Godwin Heights 74 Comstock Park 51: The Panthers’ three-game winning streak came to a halt when they lost to the Wolverines on the road Friday. Jakhary Towns (19) and Jeremiah Drake (12) led Godwin. Comstock Park was paced by Ethan Gonzalez (13), Charlie Commeret (12) and Ramsey Brower (12).

Hopkins 53 Sparta 52: On Head Coach Jake Jewett’s birthday, the Vikings secured a road win over the Spartans.

Northpointe Christian 66 Kelloggsville 59: On Kenny Willekes jersey retirement night at NPC, the Mustangs put on a strong performance. Brayden Wilkerson scored 32 for the victors, while Kayden Bird (13) and Ethan McCannon (11) joined him in double figures. Marc Whitfield (14) and CJ Balsitis (11) led the Rockets.

Forest Hills Central 53 Lowell 45: The Rangers saw double digit performances from Jonas VanderWoude, Conner Milton and Ben Scholler, as they took down the Red Arrows in OK White action.

Grand Rapids Christian 91 Greenville 62: The Eagles threatened the century mark in this league win over Greenville. In defeat, the ‘Jackets were led by Trevor Zamarron with 28 points.

Northview 55 Forest Hills Northern 33: Kyler Vanderjagt was the star once again for Northview in their victory over the Huskies. He finished the game with 18 points, as the Wildcats remain unbeaten on the season.

 

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

Montague 57 Mason County Central 44: The Wildcats defeated the Spartans in a WMC battle. MCC was led by Jack VanderHaag (14) and Will Chye (9). In their victory, a trio of players were in double figures for the ‘Gue: Isaiah Archison (12), Tate Stine (11) and Owen Raeth (11).

Oakridge 59 Shelby 48: The Eagles got out to a 12-point halftime lead and held serve for most of the second half. Garrett Wever (24 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals) led Oakridge, while Ethan Jozsa (15 points) had another strong game as well.

Ravenna 56 Hart 32: The Bulldogs led 19-10 after the first quarter, but they ramped up their lead to 21 points at the break. Hart was then held scoreless in the third quarter, creating an insurmountable deficit. Kyle Beebe led the way for Ravenna with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Grant Becklin (13), and Carter Schullo (12) were also in double figures. Wyatt Dean led Hart with 6 points.

Whitehall 69 North Muskegon 61: The Vikings got out to an early lead, but it was a thrilling WMC contest. In the end, Whitehall’s 16/20 performance from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter propelled them to victory. Cam Thompson paced Whitehall with a phenomenal 32-point, 18-rebound effort. Troy McManus (19) and Sam Gallo (12) led the way for North Muskegon.T

Edwardsburg 61 Dowagiac 47: The Eddies had a big second quarter in their victory over Dowagiac. Jacob Pegura scored a third of Edwardsburg’s baskets, finishing this contest with 21 points. Henry Weller paced Dowagiac, matching Pegura with 21.

Frankenmuth 49 Bridgeport 38: The Eagles held off the Bearcats in TVC action on Friday. Nate Jackson recorded a double-double for the ‘Muth with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Trent Ciesla added 10 points, while Travis Brenner scored 9. Torrion Burt and Francisco Lee each scored 10 for Bridgeport.

Grand Rapids Sacred Heart 58 Calhoun Christian 42: The unbeaten season for the Falcons continues, as they now sit at 13-0 on the year. Noah Northon (17 points, 11 rebounds), Pete Ugolini (11 points) and Josh Bryant (11) were in double figures for the victors.
