The second to last week of the Girls Basketball regular season finished up. We covered four teams, recapped below. After those recaps, check out the schedule for the final week of the regular season action.

Caledonia (4-14)

The Fighting Scots had two conference games this week, and they split the action. On Tuesday, they were at home against West Ottawa, and they struggled offensively in a 47-29 defeat. Three days later, they hit the road to take on Grand Haven. The Scots snapped a six-game losing streak with a 46-34 victory over the Buccaneers to complete the season sweep of Grand Haven. The regular season concludes this week with two conference games. On Tuesday, they visit 4-14 Grandville, and then on Friday they host 15-3 East Kentwood.

Central Montcalm (10-8)

This Hornets’ team had a pair of games this week, and they also won one of those contests. On Tuesday, they hosted Big Rapids and they struggled from the field in the first half of the game. The deficit was insurmountable in the second half, and the Cardinals won 48-31. Bailey Vissman had 9 points and 3 steals, while London Eldridge added 6 points and 7 rebounds. After the tough defeat, the Hornets played their best all-around game of the season on Friday against Chippewa Hills. In the 69-41 win, Vissman led the way with 21 points, while Eldridge had a double-header with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Courtney Guelzo also had 9 points in the victory. This week, the regular season concludes with a road trip to Reed City on Tuesday and another game at Tri-County on Friday.

Forest Hills Central (13-6)

The Rangers split their games this week, going 1-1 in two OK White contests. On Tuesday night, they dominated Ottawa Hills in a 69-20 contest. That positioned them for a showdown with Forest Hills Northern on Friday, as the two teams came in with a single conference loss. It was a back and forth affair between the two teams, but a late run by the Huskies carried them to a 57-52 victory. As a result, FHC now trails FHN by one loss in the conference standings. The Rangers will finish their regular season against Northview at home on Friday.

Rockford (13-6)

This week was extremely difficult for the Rams, as they played two of West Michigan’s best teams. On Tuesday, they lost to 15-3 East Kentwood by a score of 59-53. Friday night brought the Rams to Hudsonville, and they battled the 17-1 Eagles all night long. Eventually, Hudsonville won 67-63. The season continues for Rockford with their season finale against West Ottawa on Friday night.
