Fremont 62 Tri-County 39: The Packers defeated the Vikings on Senior Night. Joey DeLong led Fremont with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Logan Nelson added 6 points and 4 points. Eli Shears came off the bench to score 10 points for Fremont.

CSAA SILVER

Kent City 47 Holton 30: The Eagles secured the league title with this win over the Red Devils. Holton led 13-7 after the first quarter, but Kent City flipped the script to take a 20-18 halftime lead. KC led by just a point after the third quarter, but a 16-0 final frame gave them a commanding victory. Kyler Larsen paced Kent City with 24 points, while Hayden Carlson added 10. Austin Fowler (11) and Wyatt Monette (7 points, 6 rebounds) paced the Red Devils.

Morley Stanwood 53 Hesperia 17: The Mohawks took down the Panthers in a conference bout on Friday. Hesperia struggled to get the offense going early, but they battled through the early deficit.

Unity Christian 63 Spring Lake 45: The ‘Saders secured the league crown with a victory over the Lakers. Gabe Newhof paced UC in scoring with a 20-point performance. Unity Christian remains unbeaten at 17-0, including a 12-0 league mark.

West Catholic 46 Coopersville 45: The Falcons took down the Broncos in thrilling fashion on Friday. Michael Morris led WC with 26 points, while Noah Arsulowicz buried the game-winner.

 

OK GOLD

GR Catholic Central 85 Middleville 27: The Trojans were no match for the mighty Cougars on Friday night. Jack Karasinski (24), Kaden Brown (20), Durral Brooks (14) and Carter Meerman (8) led GRCC offensively. Terrell Jefferson and Kalvin Shuford each scored 10 points for TK.

South Christian 75 Forest Hills Eastern 61: The Sailors led by three after the first quarter, and expanded that advantage to ten points at the break. South Christian was able to carry the lead throughout the final two quarters. Aiden Sullivan (22) led FHE in scoring, while Owen Hardy chipped in 11 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks. Jake DeHaan (28), Carson Vis (11) and Jake Vermaas (9) led South Christian in scoring.

 

OK GREEN

Muskegon 60 Mona Shores 44: The Big Reds were able to take down the Sailors in the crosstown showdown on Friday. Mona Shores was within striking distance in the third quarter, but Muskegon pulled away. Jordan Briggs led the victors with 10 points, as they had seven players score at least 5 points. Parker Swartz hit 6/8 field goals to finish with 23 points. Demetri Roberson added 5 points and 6 rebounds.

Reeths Puffer 52 Holland 43: The Rockets took down the Dutch on Friday night to improve to 12-5 on the season and 9-3 in the Green. Jaxson Whitaker (19 points, 5 rebounds) and Travis Ambrose (14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks) led RP. Jackson VanHekken (17) and Isaiah Arredonado (15) paced Holland in scoring.

Union 58 Zeeland West 43: The Red Hawks defeated the Dux in an OK Green contest on Friday. Union has now won three straight contests. Genesis Kemp had 19 points and 15 rebounds, another double-double for the senior star. Brian Parks added 14 for the Red Hawks. Kylan Arnold (11) and Lukas Bakker finished in double figures for West.

Caledonia 70 West Ottawa 58: The Fighting Scots took down the Panthers in Holland on Friday. Liam Mulnix (17), Nick Henry (16 points, 7 rebounds), Nick Fox (11 points), and Mason McKenzie (10) led Caledonia on offense. Kobe Haglund (19 points, 4 assists) and Colin Shriver (15) did the same for WO.

Grand Haven 54 East Kentwood 47: The Bucs used strong defense and free throw shooting to win their ninth straight game. Harrison Sorrelle paced GH with 17 points, while Nic Stump (14) and Bashir Neely (13) were also in double figures.

Hudsonville 51 Grandville 44

Rockford 63 Jenison 31: The Rams kept pace with the Bucs, thanks to their statement win over the ‘Cats. A 20-6 first quarter advantage was enough for Rockford to create separation, a margin they would not relinquish. Caden Pokorzynski and Kyle Varady led Rockford with 10 points. Caleb Dean paced Jenison with 15 points.

Calvin Christian 73 Sparta 41

Northpointe Christian 63 Comstock Park 52: The Mustangs defeated the Panthers in an OK Silver battle. NPC raced out to a 24-7 first quarter advantage, before adding four points to the lead over the next two quarters. Comstock Park put together a 21-11 final frame advantage, but it would not be enough. Brayden Wilkerson led NPC with 26 points, while Kayden Bird added 20. Ramsey Brower scored 15 to lead CP.

 

OK WHITE

East Grand Rapids 54 Lowell 50: The Pioneers and Red Arrows played a thrilling chapter of their rivalry on Friday. It was four quarters of back-and-forth action that resulted in an overtime period becoming necessary. Drew Caswell (19) and Jonah Bishop (14) paved the way for EGR to improve their record to 8-8 overall and 7-4 in the OK White.

Forest Hills Central 55 Grand Rapids Christian 48: The Rangers pulled off a bit of a stunner, taking down the Eagles on Friday. Jacob Bonnett led FHC with 27 points, while Conner Milton scored 19. Jasiah Rainey (19) and Delon McCloud (13) paced GRC in defeat.

Kalamazoo Loy Norrix 56 Ottawa Hills 49 (Wednesday)

 

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

Montague 61 Shelby 54: The Wildcats improve to 11-5 with a victory over the Tigers. Montague got out to a 21-12 first quarter lead, and they won each of the final two frames by a single point. Isaiah Archison (18 points, 7 rebounds) and Tate Stine (11 points) paced the ‘Gue offensively. Shelby was held to 4/14 from beyond the arc.

Mason County Central 40 Ravenna 39

North Muskegon 62 Hart 32: The Norsemen defeated the Pirates in a WMC battle on Friday. Four triples in the first quarter allowed North Muskegon to take a 19-5 first quarter lead. NM built upon their lead over the last three quarters. Brandon Rypstra (15), Troy McManus (12), Jason Bogue (12) and James Young (11) were in double figures for the victors. Tony Rayo (11) and Wyatt Dean (9) led Hart.

Oakridge 62 Whitehall 60: The Eagles and Vikings played a thrilling WMC game on Friday evening. This game went to a fifth period with the game even at 58. In the extra frame, Oakridge outscored Whitehall 4-2. Camden Thompson (25 points, 14 rebounds), Isaac DeHart (13) and Red Watson (12 points, 7 assists, 6 steals) led Whitehall. Oakridge was led by Garret Wever (22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists) and Ethan Jozsa (21 points, 10 rebounds).

Edwardsburg 64 Niles 47: The Eddies edged the Vikings on Friday evening. An 18-8 third quarter was the key for Edwardsburg in securing this victory. Jake Moore (20) and Luke Stowasser (17) paced the victors in scoring.  Jayson Johnson led Niles with 13 points.

Fennville 71 Saugatuck 39: The Black Hawks soared past Saugatuck in the 11th annual Wes Leonard Heart Team Never Forgotten Game. Zay Strickfadden was pivotal to the victory over the Trailblazers, as he finished with 20 points. Dylan Schut (17), Tyler Schut (16) and Ben Peterson (13) led Fennville offensively.

Freeland 66 Frankenmuth 51: The Falcons took down the Eagles in TVC action on Friday. Nate Jackson scored a game-high 21 points for the Eagles, while Trent Ciesla finished with 15. Bryson Huckeby was one of three Falcons in double figures, leading the team with 19 points.

Grand Rapids Sacred Heart 74 Barry County Christian 25: The Falcons advanced to the finals of the Great Lakes 6 Conference tournament with a dominant performance against BCC. Isaac Skinner (12 points, 7 assists), Jack Blouw (11 points), Noah Northon (10 points, 8 rebounds) and Pete Ugolini (8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists) led the way for Sacred Heart. With this win, they will be traveling to Algoma Christian for Saturday’s finals at 2:00 PM.

Kalamazoo Hackett 52 Gobles 23

Lawton 54 Coloma 27: The Blue Devils closed out divisional play with a league victory on the road. Lawton had a trio of double-digit scorers in their victory over the Comets. Jake Rueff and Chase Mitchell led Lawton with 12 points, while Ryan Goole added 10.

Mattawan 55 Stevensville Lakeshore 52: The Wildcats used a big third quarter to jump past the division-leading Lancers. Noah Vanlaningham finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while Ryan Kiesling added 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Otsego 68 Paw Paw 63: The Bulldogs defeated Paw Paw in Wolverine Conference play, the team’s seventh straight victory. Ashton Atwater (22) and Jacob Zartman (20) were two of four Bulldogs that finished in double figures.

Schoolcraft 49 Parchment 45: The Eagles held off Parchment, allowing Schoolcraft to force a share of the SAC Valley title. Tyler DeGroote (22) and Asher Puhalski (10) led Schoolcraft in scoring. Parchment had a trio that finished with 10+ points: Kofi Barima (13), Aaron Jasiak (10) and Tony Williams (10).
