One of the most highly anticipated games of the year took place at a (beyond) sold-out and packed Hamilton High School on Tuesday, as perennial powers GR Christian and Catholic Central met with a trip to the state final four and a trip to the Breslin Center on the line.

The Eagles made it a clean sweep of the Cougars on the year with a 57-52 win, that sent coach Eric Taylor on his way to the Breslin as a head coach for the first time at Christian, and gives the state’s near wire-to-wire top-ranked team in division two a chance to earn the ultimate prize come Saturday evening, if they can win two more times.

Our Aiden Lynch was at Hamilton, along with the MSR broadcast team to capture more of the story. Along with the great live action gallery of photos he captured, he also captured some of the key stats that determined a close game and got interviews with some of the key players and coaches for either team.
