The West Catholic Falcons opened their Division 6 playoff journey with a contest against Watervliet. It was a one-sided affair, as the Falcons captured a 42-0 shutout victory.

West Catholic got things started with a pair of first quarter scores. Tim Kloska kicked it off with a 1-yard touchdown plunge. On the next scoring drive, Charlie DeBruyn broke off a 28-yard run to the end zone.

The second quarter saw Tim Kloska tack onto his season total with a pair of touchdown runs. The first carry saw him bowl into the end zone from a yard out. He followed that up with a 20-yard score. Before the half came to an end, Carter Perry gave West Catholic a 35-point lead with a 6-yard touchdown run.

In the second half, with the running clock intact, possessions were limited. Bernie Varnesdeel engineered a scoring drive for the Falcons with a 30-yard pass to Ryar Snow.

Tim Kloska led the way for West Catholic with 22 carries for 193 yards and three touchdowns.

Next week, West Catholic will take on Constantine in the District Finals. Those Falcons dominated Buchanan 54-12 in Friday’s opener.
