The Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars had little trouble in their Week 4 battle with OK Gold foe Kenowa Hills. Three quick scores propelled them to a lead, and they would secure a 33-0 victory.

Just two minutes into the action, Connor Wolf found Michael App, last week’s defensive hero, for a 35-yard touchdown connection. On their next drive, Wolf and Billy Mikolay paired up for an 18-yard score. The first quarter touchdown parade concluded with Sean Sullivan outracing the Knights’ defenders for a 45-yard touchdown, giving Grand Rapids Catholic Central a 21-0 lead.

In the second quarter, the Cougars scored in the first minute of play. Michael App used his legs to power across the goal line from two yards out. A blocked point after attempt left GRCC ahead 27-0.

The second half saw just one touchdown scored. Wolf and Jami Williams, one of the league’s best passing duos, linked up for a 3-yard touchdown.

With the win, Grand Rapids Catholic Central has now defeated 41 straight opponents. They will take on Forest Hills Eastern next week. Kenowa Hills (0-4) will try and bounce back against Wayland.
