Coopersville vs Hamilton
The Broncos and the Hawkeyes are set to square off in Week 4. They are both entering the game after dropping their first conference matchups last week. Coopersville experienced a tough loss last Friday night, when they failed to complete a go-ahead 2-point conversion attempt against Unity Christian. The Hawkeyes struggled in the second and third quarters against Holland Christian, leading to a 31-13 defeat. Both teams hope to rebound after going 2-0 in their non-conference games.
Fruitport vs Unity Christian
The Trojans will travel to Unity Christian after defeating Allendale a week ago. The Crusaders looked to be having a tough season after going 0-2 in non-conference play, but they were able to spring back and put together a nice all-around team effort last week. They held off the surging Broncos to secure a one-point win against Coopersville. The Trojans were able to put up 50 points last week, and hope to continue this scoring trend against the Crusaders.
Allendale vs Spring Lake
Allendale and Spring Lake will continue conference play this coming Friday. Both the Falcons and the Lakers dropped their week 3 matchup, and enter this week with 1-2 records. The Spring Lake offense struggled against West Catholic’s defense, as they were only able to put six points on the board. On the opposite side of this one, Allendale was able to post 35 points against Fruitport, but their defense allowed fifty points in a defeat. The Lakers look to reenergize their offense, while the Falcons look to improve their defense, with hopes of developing the finishing touch to close games out.
West Catholic vs Holland Christian
In week three, West Catholic and Holland Christian both won their conference openers. The Falcons (3-0) are the only undefeated team left in the OK Blue, while the Maroons sit at 2-1. Holland Christian’s defense will need to step up big to stop West Catholic’s duo, Tim Kloska and Bernie Varnesdeel. Together they have scored 16 touchdowns, while the Maroons collectively have put 12 touchdowns on the scoreboard this fall.
