The Falcons concluded their 2021 regular season with a match-up against the Holland Christian Maroons. In a tune-up for the playoffs, West Catholic cruised to a 48-19 victory.

Holland Christian scored first in this game, when Reeves Taylor found Jordan Duncan on an 11-yard touchdown. The Maroons missed an extra point. West Catholic would take the lead when Noah Arsulowicz kept the football for a one-yard touchdown. Henry Ripple booted an extra point to put the Falcons ahead 7-6.

In the second quarter, West Catholic outscored the Maroons 20-0 to seize control of this game. Tim Kloska scored the first two drives, with carries of 7 and 12 yards. Arsulowicz rounded out the quarter with a 3-yard keeper that gave the Falcons a 27-6 lead at the break.

West Catholic continued to score as the third quarter began. For the third time, Arsulowicz used his legs to score, sneaking across the goal line from 2 yards out. Holland Christian stopped the 34-0 run with a 40-yard touchdown pass from Taylor to Duncan. The Falcons ended the third quarter with a 12-yard carry by Elliot Zainea that gave the team a 41-13 advantage.

In the fourth quarter, the squads exchanged touchdowns. First, Zainea returned to the end zone with a 57-yard burst. Holland Christian rounded out the scoring with a 1-yard pass from Eli Boyce to Connor Smits.

Noah Arsulowicz finished 8/15 passing for 113 yards. He added 38 rushing yards. Tim Kloska (89 yards) and Elliot Zainea (84) added to the balanced team rushing attack. When the Falcons aired it out, Carter Perry led the way with 70 yards on three catches.

Holland Christian was led by Reeves Taylor, who completed 11/32 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Duncan hauled in both of those scoring plays on his way to an 8-catch, 105-yard night.

West Catholic will learn their playoff opponent on Sunday evening during the Selection Sunday bracket reveal. Holland Christian finishes the 2021 season with a 2-7 record, their third straight losing season.
