The Greenville Yellow Jackets hit the road on Friday, set to square off with Forest Hills Central. An early offensive explosion put the Rangers in command, and they never looked back to the tune of a 45-6 victory.

After forcing a stop, Forest Hills Central saw the scoring impact made on special teams. On Greenville’s first two drives, Jacob Bonnett fielded the punt and raced back for the touchdowns. These were 37 and 53-yard punt returns. Later in the quarter, JT Hartman got his chance to add to the scoring column. Hartman ripped off a 9-yard touchdown that extended the Rangers’ lead to 21 points after twelve minutes.

The second quarter was much like the first, with FHC scoring in excess. First, Luke Gustafson connected on a field goal of 33 yards. Later, JT Hartman returned to the end zone on a 2-yard plinge. Hartman ended tonight with 8 carries for 50 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tyler Weaver capped off the scoring of the opening half with a 2-yard touchdown that gave FHC a 38-0 lead.

In the third quarter, AJ Fox powered across the goal line from three yards out. FHC wrapped up the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 5-yard score from Ty Hudkins.

FHC won the yardage battle 274-96. The Rangers will take on Grand Rapids Christian in a game that is pivotal to the OK White title race. Greenville will match-up against Grandville.
