Cedar Springs 49 Ottawa Hills 14: The ‘Hawks ran up a big victory over the Bengals on Friday night. In a first half onslaught, Cedar scored 42 points to trigger the running clock. Dylan Lafontsee rushed 9 times for 83 yards and three touchdowns, while Bryce Luevano, Hudson Pant, Marek Oleneak, and Noah Mallory also found the end zone. CS 3-4 (3-2) OH 0-7 (0-5)

Mona Shores 43 Union 8: The Sailors were able to win their third straight contest with a convincing offensive showing against Union. The Red Hawks jumped out in front early, with an opening drive touchdown march capped off with a Christopher Murphy-Ware touchdown catch. From that point forward, it was 43 straight points by Mona Shores. Tomarion Steward rushed for 192 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, while four other Sailors found the end zone on the ground. Wayland 28 Kenowa Hills 14: The Wildcats were able to secure their fourth victory of the season, keeping playoff hopes alive, by doubling up the Knights. As has been the case all season, the ‘Cats were propelled by their rushing attack. They ran 45 times for 353 yards and all four scores. Bryce Calkins led the way with 175 yards on 26 carries, while Cameron Bogart and Brady Cassini each scored twice on the ground. WAY 4-3 (2-3) KH 2-5 (1-4)

Bangor 36 Twin City Sharks 28: The Sharks battled hard on Friday, but fell a touchdown short. Ty Johnson led the Twin City attack with 8/20 passing for 128 yards and a score. He added 104 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Bangor completed just one pass, racking up the remaining 248 yards of offense on the ground. BGR 4-3 (3-1) TCS 3-4 (2-2)

Climax-Scotts 58 Mendon 28: The Hornets suffered their second straight defeat on Friday, falling to C-S. Mendon was in control early, ahead 20-8 with nine minutes to go in the second quarter after three Owen Gorham touchdowns. After Gorham’s fourth touchdown put the Hornets ahead 28-16 with three minutes left in the half, it was all Climax-Scotts. Over the remainder of the game, C-S reeled off 42 unanswered points to seize the victory. The Panthers, one of the state’s best in 8-man football, picked up their seventh straight victory of the year. Mendon’s offensive output was the best against C-S this year, as their defense had yielded just 62 points in their first six games. CS 7-0 (5-0) MEN 5-2 (4-1)
Concord 52 Morenci 14: The ‘Jackets wrapped up Tri-River play with a big victory over the Bulldogs. Concord outgained Morenci 478-220 in this win, with a balanced offensive attack. Gavin Riske led the passing attack with a 13/15 passing night for 235 yards and two scores. Mekhi Wingfield was the top target again, hauling in 6 passes for 150 yards and both touchdowns. Levi Raymond rushed for 97 yards, while Collin Thompson rushed for two scores. CON 4-3 (2-1) MOR 2-4 (0-2)
