The Lawrence Tigers held off a feisty Wyoming Tri Unity team on homecoming for a 56 -40 win.
On offense the Tigers rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Through the air quarterback Bol Bak completed 16 of 20 for 336 yards and five touchdowns. Jamin Rodriguez caught 3 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown while John Schuman hauled in 10 passes for 217 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Defensively Bak led the way with 9 tackles followed by Victor Balmares with 8. Zander Payment had 7 with two for loss, along with JJ Ledesma who also had 7 tackles.
Lawrence improves to 5-1 with tonight’s victory. Now at 3-0 in the SWMFL-II, the Tigers are tied with Bridgman for first in the conference. Before their Week 8 showdown, Lawrence will take on New Buffalo next Friday. Tri-Unity, now 1-5 on the year, will look to return to the win column against St Joseph Lake Michigan Catholic next week.
