Grand Rapids Catholic Central have never been a team to shy away from any sort of Challenge, and after defeating Lake Central from Indiana, a school nearly five times their size in week one. In week two, they hosted an international affair – Hosting St. Thomas More out of Ontario, Canada at The CAT.

The game started in a. defense-first affair, with both teams failing to score in the first quarter. And each only able to muster a single score in the second, to give a 7-7 halftime mark.

Catholic Central were first too strike in the 2nd on a 2 yard rush from junior RB Dale Gant Jr. with 7:14 remaining. St.Thomas More answered four minutes later to even the score with a. six yard TD run from Caleb Kowalchuk.

Catholic Central opened it up on offense in the fourth, all as the defense continued to blank their Canadian opponents after the one early score (and hold them to under 120 total yards of offense). First it was a 50 yard passing strike from freshman QB Odin Spencer to TE Raef Goossen. The a couple more tallies on the ground, first it was Spencer punching it in himself, then senior Cameron Maley.
