North Muskegon had a remarkable 2022 campaign. Posting an 8-1 regular season record, the Norsemen were hot entering the playoffs. On top of that, they had already beaten Ravenna as well, 28-7. None of that mattered on Friday, where Ravenna scored a 10-7 victory.

In the first quarter, Ravenna found the end zone. Hunter Hogan kept the football, and the Bulldogs’ jumped ahead with his 30-yard touchdown carry.

North Muskegon would counter midway through the second frame. The Norsemen rushed for 12 yards on a touchdown, a score made by Ben Meyers.

With 1:08 left in the second quarter, Hunter Hogan booted a 23-yard field goal. At that point, it was up to the defense to deliver the victory. The Ravenna unit did just that, holding North Muskegon to 209 yards.

As a result of their victory, Ravenna will travel to Ithaca in the event that the host ‘Jackets win tomorrow. If Lake City can score an upset, Lake City will travel down to Ravenna.
