Gladwin rolled in their week six win over Sanford Meridian, 42-0. They wouldn’t complain after receiving a real battle in week five against Clare before storming back. This week, Gladwin continues to show why they keep sitting at the top of the division rankings.

The Flying G’s would get off to another hot start in this one. They would get on the board first after a Nore Cajigas 27-yard touchdown run. This would give Gladwin a 7-0 advantage after the Treyton Siegert good PAT try. Tey weren’t done in the quarter. Jhace Massey, who has been playing absolutely out of his mind the past few weeks, would take one in from 9-yards away. Gladwin would take a 14-0 lead into the second quarter.

Gladwin would continue to pour it on in the next quarter. A 5-yard touchdown run by John Corlew would give the G’s a 21-0 lead after another Siegert good PAT. Gladwin then grabbed complete control of the game after a Josh Leinenger 19-yard run as they found themselves up 28-0 to that point. Pinconning would find a little life, however. They would put their first points on the board after a 5-yard run that would cut the lead to 28-7. That momentum wouldn’t last long as shortly after Massey would scamper in from 8-yards away. The Flying G’s with yet another dominate half, leading 35-7 into the locker rooms.

They made sure they had their imprint on this one throughout as they would find the endzone again to begin the half. This time it would be Preston Wilert punching one in from 3-yards away to make it a 42-7 Gladwin lead. The Spartans were able to get some things going in the quarter. They would find the endzone on a 17-yard touchdown pass cutting into the lead, 42-14. Once again, Gladwin would make sure they would end the quarter their way. Sophomore Colton Pfenninger found some daylight from 34-yards away and it was all Gladwin after three, 49-14.

Things would down in the fourth but it wouldn’t have been the ending they wanted to end the game the right way. Freshman Logan Walters put together the biggest play of the night as he took one all the way to the house on a 79-yard touchdown run. Everything clicked on the night for the G’s. They cruise to remain undefeated, 56-14.

Gladwin used another big night from their ground game to help secure this one by piling up 309 rushing yards on the night. They could thank their defense in due part as they gave up just 105 total yards on the night.

Pinconning found themselves down early and that was that as they move to 2-4 on the year. They will move on to face a Shepherd team that just put together their best offensive performance of the year in a win over Harrison. The Spartans will welcome them in next Friday night.

Gladwin cruises to 6-0 on the season. They will now be in for quite possibly their biggest test of the year as they face a Notre Dame Prep team who sits at 5-0. The G’s had one of their toughest tests last season against the Irish in a back and fourth affair that came out with Gladwin on top. If you’re looking for one of the best games on the docket for week seven, Gladwin will be the place to be.
