Central Montcalm was no match for the Reed City offense on Friday night, as the Coyotes won 52-14.

Reed City wasted no time to get the scoring started, as Bryson Hughes took the opening kickoff back. Hughes would find the endzone again, this time on a 68-yard rushing score. Seth Jackson put his name in the scorebook after a 6-yard run. Noah Morgan found the paint on a 3-yard rush. The Coyotes were able to convert 2 of their 4 two-point tries, and after the first quarter, Reed City led 28-0.

With the 2nd quarter underway, Hughes went back to their scoring ways with a 70-yard run. The Coyotes would find Aiden Storz on a 5-yard completion to score. The Hornets will get on the board before the 1st half comes to a close with a Carter Jeffrey 8-yard reception. At the half, Reed City held a 44-8 advantage.

The 2nd half saw a running clock, but that did not stop the Reed City offense from putting another 8 points up. Morgan broke a 76-yard run. Central Montcalm would continue to fight and put six more on the board with an Isaac Johnson 20-yard touchdown reception, but their offense was not strong enough against an aggressive Reed City defense. The Coyotes come out on time 52-14.

Reed City will improve their record to 4-1. They will host Newaygo in week six. Central Montcalm falls to 1-4. They will host Tri-County next Friday.
