Manistee would defeat Orchard View 30-14 in both schools’ latest WMC Lakes battle. This is the first year in the WMC for both teams, after many years together in the Lakes 8.
Manistee would control the game on the ground, as their rushing attack was firing on all cylinders. Isaiah Davis posted north of 100 yards rushing and a touchdown on the night. Nick Hornkohl also had nearly 100 yards on the ground, and he added two rushing touchdowns of his own. Hornkohl would get his third touchdown through the air, as he added 64 receiving yards to his night. Davis and Hornkohl would combine for 25 tackles on defense.
Next week, Manistee (3-1) will go up against league favorite Whitehall (4-0). Orchard View, who slides to 0-4 despite showing signs today, will step out of league play to face Muskegon Catholic Central.
