White Cloud drops their first game of the season, 38-19, to a well-prepared Hart Pirates team in week two.
Jace Silverthorn picked up where he did from last week’s victory over Shelby. Silverthorn in the week two loss to Hart rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Landyn McGowen also picked up a rushing touchdown and 95 yards for himself. The Indians were also able to air the ball out to Nate Compeau and Alex Cruzan, combining for 108 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, Carlos Brown and Alex Cruzan both picked up nine tackles, while Silverthorn recorded seven. Lloyd Sebright-Johnson was able to wrap up five Pirates. The Hart offense was just too powerful for the Indians to slow down.
White Cloud drops to 1-1 and will host Hesperia next Friday. Hart picks up their first win to draw even at 1-1. The Pirates face off against Shelby at home in 8 days.
