The Cody Kater era at Reeths-Puffer continues to soar as the 2022 season commences. This week, his Rockets had little trouble with St Johns, disposing of them in a 38-14 victory.

Brody Ross threw ten passes for the Rockets, completing six. Those completions went for 113 yards. Ross made a bigger impact on the ground, where he rushed for 108 yards and four touchdowns on just eleven carries. Brody Johnson added 55 yards and two scores on the ground for Puffer. Bryce Ross (63 yards) and Tayte Vanderleest (25) were the anchors in the receiving core.

Defensively, the Rockets were led by Caiden Bolduc (11 solo tackles, 9 assists). Sage Stiller (8 solo, 5 assist), Tyviea Williams (6 solo, 3 assist, interception) and Vanderleest (5 solo, 1 assist, interception) provided solid defensive work as well.

The Rockets are now 2-0 on the young season. They will face their biggest challenge to date next Friday, when they square off with Muskegon. St. Johns will begin their CAAC slate against Haslett.
