West Catholic 69 Muskegon 25: The Falcons had little trouble against Muskegon, but the biggest story was an individual effort. Abbey Kimball scored 43 points, her latest highlight reel performance in her Miss Basketball campaign. West Catholic was 21/23 at the free throw line.

Edwardsburg 83 Three Rivers 31: The Eddies cruised past Three Rivers in Wolverine play. Edwardsburg scored 25 in the opening quarter, before adding 33 in the second frame to go ahead 58-21 at halftime. Katie Schaible (18), Macey Laubach (17) and Ella Castelucci (15) were in double figures for Edwardsburg.

Fremont 45 Central Montcalm 32: The Packers took down the Hornets in CSAA-Gold play. Fremont started with an 18-13 lead in the first quarter, and they expanded that margin to twelve at the break. Haley Zerlaut led the Packers with 17 points and 3 assists. Mia Witte added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Jessica Bennett and Lily VandenBerg each added 8 points. Courtney Guelzo paced CM with 13.

Grand Haven 51 Spring Lake 45: The Bucs edged the Lakers in a battle that lasted the entirety of the game. It was all square after three quarters, before the Bucs hit 10 of 12 free throws in the final frame. Spring Lake was unable to get to the line, shooting just two in the fourth quarter. Alexa Carter led Spring Lake with 14 points and 6 boards, while Jennifer Judge (10 points and 6 rebounds) and Ella Andree (9 points and 6 assists) had strong games as well. Caydee Constant led GH with 16 points. Alyssa Hatzel (14) and Zoe Spoelman (10) were also in double figures.

Hart 37 Whitehall 25: The Pirates took down the Vikings in a WMC matchup. Free throws proved to be the difference, as Whitehall was unable to convert from the charity stripe down the stretch. Charley Klint led Whitehall with 8 points, while McKena Coron had 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Addi Hovey (13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks) led the team in scoring, while Morgan Marvin (8 points, 8 rebounds, 8 blocks) and Chloe Coker (6 points) added strong performances.

Jenison 54 Wyoming 48: The Wildcats outlasted the Wolves in non-league action on Friday. It was 16-2 Jenison after the first quarter, before Wyoming battled back. Jenison was able to hold off the late charge to win by six. Terin Maynard led Jenison with 21, while Ella Haik (11) and Christine Duch (10) joined her in double figures. Michelle McGee led Wyoming with 22 points.

Kent City 65 Morley Stanwood 55: The Eagles trailed early, but some late adjustments allowed Kent City to secure a victory over their biggest league challenger. Lexie Bowers led the way with 28 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Madelyn Geers added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Savannah Miller chipped in 12 points, and Hailey Kamphuis hit a pair of clutch triples late in the game.

Lawton 51 Saugatuck 47: The Blue Devils took down the Trailblazers in a SAC scuffle. Reese Olson had 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals. Sarah DeKoning matched Olson with 16 points, while adding 4 steals. Lawton is now 3-2 as they enter the holiday.

Martin 47 Fennville 9: The Clippers sailed past the Blackhawks on Friday. It was 10-2 after the first quarter, and 16-6 at the break. Martin then turned on the jets, leading 33-8 with eight minutes remaining. Christina Mendoza led Fennville with 4 points. Gracie Shettler led all scorers with 26 points for Martin.

Mason County Central 42 Shelby 41: The Spartans stunned the Tigers in WMC action on Friday. The Tigers were led by Lauren Brown (12), Kendall Zoulek (11) and Ella Olmstead (11).

Mesick 42 Mason County Eastern 31: The Cardinals lost their second game of the week, falling to Mesick. Corinna Hernandez (10) and Hillary Howe (9) paced MCE offensively.

Mona Shores 56 Forest Hills Northern 34: The Sailors took down the Huskies in non-league action. Lily Miller (14) and Jenna Tierman (11) were in double figures, while Khaleeya Cook (9), Olivia Sobczak (8) and Ali Phillips (8) added strong scoring performances.

Montague 48 North Muskegon 19: The Wildcats disposed of the Norsewomen in a WMC showdown. In the first quarter, Montague pitched a shutout, securing a 15-0 lead. they held North Muskegon to single digits in all four frames. Kendall Osborne led Montague in scoring with 10 points, while she added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block. Both Ana Trevino and Maddie Meacham added 7 points and 8 boards for ‘Gue.

Muskegon Catholic Central 57 Orchard View 26: The Crusaders are now 2-0 in the Lakes 8 after doubling up Orchard View. Erin LaVigne paced MCC with 15 points, while both Carrie Ladd and McKenna Gentry tossing in 10.

Newaygo 52 Big Rapids 38: The Lions battled with the Big Rapids bunch, emerging with a fourteen-point league victory. “It was a great team effort tonight,” Newaygo Coach Nate Thomasma shared. “Big Rapids is a well-coached team that is great defensively. Our secondary scorers stepped up with big buckets. We had a great week of practice, all ten girls, and it showed.” Jaxi Long led the way with 14 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Emmerson Goodin joined her in double figures with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Grace Painter and Lily Swinehart each tossed in 8 points.
