The Bridgman Bees and Marcellus Wildcats met in the final game of the regular season. Bridgman cruised to victory, completing an undefeated regular season with a 68-13 win.

Reid Haskins, one of the state’s best players, had another phenomenal game for Bridgman. He completed 10/11 passes, racking up 259 yards and four touchdowns. Haskins added nine carries for 196 yards and three scores. The touchdowns were runs of 22, 53 and 60 yards.

Jayce Warren was a threat with 60 rushing yards, 178 receiving yards, a 95-yard kickoff return and four scores. Nate Necas added seven carries for 41 yards, five receptions for 76 yards, and three total touchdowns.

Defensively, Nolan Staniszewski led the way with 14 tackles. Christian Dinges (9), Reid Haskins (7) and Clark Smith (6) added strong defensive efforts for the Bees.

With this win, Bridgman extends their win streak to 15 games. Next week, Bridgman will take on Northpointe Christian in a Week 10 regular-season game. This game, allowed due to forfeits on the schedule, has been dubbed by some as the “8-Man Division 0 State Championship Game”. Bridgman (9-0) and Northpointe Christian (7-2) are the only teams with above .500 records amongst the 8-man teams that are too large to qualify for the playoffs. Last year, the MHSAA allowed for a “Division 0” State Championship in 8-man, and Bridgman captured that crown.
