The Lawrence Tigers travelled to River Valley on Friday night to face New Buffalo, a football team that is in a co-op with Three Oaks River Valley. It was a 45-mile bus ride, but the Tigers were smiling as they came home with a convincing 64-12 victory.

On Offense, the Tigers carried the ball 29 yards for 310 yards and 3 touchdowns. Quarterback Bol Bak led the ground attack with 15 carries, 228 yards and two touchdowns. RJ Olsen added four carries that went for 43 yards and a touchdown.

In the air, Bak completed 7 of 15 passes for 279 yards and 5 touchdowns. John Schuman caught 3 passes for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Christian Smith hauled in 3 passes for 98 and 2 touchdowns.

On defense, Jamin Rodriguez played through an injury to record 11 tackles. Bak had 8 tackles (5 for loss), Hunter Mann, Zander Payment and Steve Jansingh all had 6 tackles each.

With this victory, Lawrence moves to a perfect 4-0 in SWMFL-II action. Next week, the conference title is on the line, as they square off with the Bridgman Bees. As for New Buffalo, they will step out of league play for a showdown with Bloomingdale.
