Grant 74 Central Montcalm 68: The Tigers bested the Hornets in CSAA-Gold play. Grant built a big lead after the first quarter, 16-6. In the third quarter, there were 65 combined points. Seth Schuitema had 28 points, hitting five three-pointers, while Gage Burrows had 13 points for Grant. Central Montcalm was led 20 points from Cole Olson and 16 from Trey Chapin.

Holton 69 Hesperia 21: It was a team effort for the Red Devils in a CSAA-Silver victory against Hesperia. Six players scored at least eight points, with Bret Hosmer’s 18 leading the way. Aidan Poling, playing in just one quarter of action, scored 13 points. Kevin Erickson added 8 points and 7 rebounds.

Mesick 72 Marion 38: This West Michigan “D” League game was quite one-sided. It was 23-8 Mesick after the first quarter, and they never looked back. Matthew Fuller and Connor Simmer had 13 for Mesick, while Mason Salisbury had 21 to pace Marion.

Montague 52 Hart 46: The Wildcats edged Hart in a WMC battle. Montague led by as many as nine, but a 10/17 effort from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter helped deliver the victory. Kellen Kimes paced Hart’s offense with 15 points. Drew Collins had 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Colton Blankstrom had 8 points and 12 rebounds. It was the 200th victory at Montague for head coach David Osborne.

North Muskegon 53 Oakridge 52: The Norsemen trailed the entirety of this contest, save for a tie at the break. With 2.6 seconds to play, Oakridge took a two-point lead with a made free throw. Denny Belmonte hit a running three from half court, banking it in to deliver North Muskegon a victory. North Muskegon was led by Troy McManus, who had 14 points, and Brennen McManus with 13 points. Garrett Weaver led Oakridge with 18 points, while Ethan Josza collected a double-double with 17 points.

Orchard View 79 Western Michigan Christian 61: The Cardinals captured a Lakes 8 victory by taking down WMC. Larry Brewer III led Orchard View with 25 points, while Ke’ontae Barnes added 24 points. Jay Jay Tunstull added 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Ravenna 55 Shelby 48: The Bulldogs earned a WMC win over the Tigers on Friday night. Joel Emery had 19 points and 5 rebounds, and Kyle Beebe added 15 points and 6 assists.

Whitehall 72 Mason County Central 42: The Vikings cruised to a WMC win on Friday night. They held MCC to 30% shooting, while shooting 57% as a team. Seven different players had at least seven points for Whitehall.

Allendale 59 Unity Christian 26: Grace Rosser scored 16 points, Hannah Schroeder added 12 points, and Allendale’s rivalry victory gave them their eighth straight victory.

Big Rapids 41 Tri-County 28

Central Montcalm 48 Grant 31: The Hornets won their fifth game of 2021 when they bested Grant. After a slow first half, the Central Montcalm offense picked things up. Emily Putnam led the team with 14 points while Courtney Guelzo and Brielle Collins had 9 points each.

Gobles 49 Saugatuck 47: The Tigers captured a victory over Saugatuck on Friday night. Amanda Barber led Gobles with 22 points, Karlee Henderson added 10 points and 17 rebounds, and Emily Baxter finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Kent City 53 White Cloud 41: The Eagles won a CSAA-Silver game against the Indians. Kyler Larson led the way with 16 points for Kent City, while Hayden Carlson added 12.

Lawton 53 Fennville 15: The Blackhawks fell against Lawton on Friday night. Lawton built a 12-2 lead after the first quarter, but Fennville had their most productive offensive quarter in the second (nine points). Six Blackhawks scored, three finished with 3 points and three with 2 points.

Ludington 54 Muskegon Catholic Central 22: The Orioles topped the Crusaders in Lakes 8 play on Friday night. It was only 16-10 after the first quarter, but Ludington expanded that lead over the remainder of the game. Claire Lavigne paced MCC with 6 points.

Morley Stanwood 58 Lakeview 21: On Senior Night, the Mohawks cruised to a win. Brooke Brauher had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Madison Garbow added 9 points, and Brae Berry had 6 points, 5 steals and 6 assists for Morley Stanwood.

Newaygo 65 Chippewa Hills 28: The Lions got back in the win column after a loss earlier in the week. They had little trouble with Chippewa Hills, turning things up in the second half. Anna Brummel led Newaygo with 19 points, and Emmerson Goodin added 14 points and 14 rebounds.
