Orchard View 77 Muskegon Catholic Central 44: The Cardinals got out to a 19-6 first quarter lead, and carried that momentum to a second straight win. Ke’ontae Barnes led Orchard View with 25 points, Donovan Daniels added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Jay Jay Tunstull finished with 12 points.

Ottawa Hills 70 Cedar Springs 35

Ravenna 59 North Muskegon 49: The Bulldogs were victorious on Thursday. Joel Emery led Ravenna with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Kyle Beebe (13) and Dom Jones (11) both finished in double figures as well for Ravenna. Brennen McManus led North Muskegon with 15 points, while Will Gallo added 14.

Rockford 62 Grandville 47: The Rams played ferocious defense in their OK Red victory over the Bulldogs. Sam Krist led Rockford with 11 points, while Calvin Kibbe added 10. Corey Grant led Grandville with 9 points.

Shelby 57 Hart 27: The Tigers took down the Pirates on Thursday. Hart jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but they failed to score the remainder of the quarter. Zach Bitely led Hart with 12 points, while Parker Hovey finished with 9 points.

South Christian 60 Middleville 55: Austin VanElst scored 29 points to lead Middleville, but the Trojans fell five points short.

Wyoming 72 Holland 71

Zeeland East 50 Reeths-Puffer 29: The Chix took down the Rockets on Thursday. Nate Claerbaut led Zeeland East with 13 points, while Kendall Smith led Reeths Puffer with 12.

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Cedar Springs 43 Ottawa Hills 28: The Red Hawks took down the Bengals on Thursday. Avery Sparling led Cedar Springs with 17 points, while Darrah Miller added 9. Jayla Luckett was the top scorer for Ottawa Hills with 7 points.

Coldwater 50 Hastings 30

East GR 70 Wyoming 41: The Pioneers recorded another victory with a strong offensive outing against Wyoming. Jillian Brown led the way with 25 points, Macy Brown added 15 points, and Alli Carlson scored 11.

GR Catholic Central 41 Forest Hills Eastern 34

Hart 46 Mason County Central 23: The Pirates earned a victory with strong play against the Spartans. Kendall Williamson led Hart with 11 points, while Jayd Hovey added 10 points, 6 steals, 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

Holland Black River 50 Tri-Unity 44

Hudsonville 74 Jenison 53: The Eagles topped the Wildcats in an OK Red contest. Jaci Tubergen and Alaina Diaz both scored 15 points to lead Hudsonville, while Tarin Maynard scored 18 points for Jenison.

Mona Shores 58 Zeeland West 26: The Sailors jumped out to a 17-2 lead after the first quarter, and with a balanced scoring approach, they came out with a victory. Ten players scored for Mona Shores, with Riley Rosenthal (15) and Lily Miller (10) finishing in double digits. Kara Bartles led Zeeland West with six points.

Muskegon 48 Union 42

Muskegon Catholic Central 51 Orchard View 6: The Crusaders swarmed Orchard View on Thursday night. They led 33-0 at the half, and 46-2 after the third quarter of play. McKenna Gentry led MCC with 25 points and 6 rebounds, while Erin LaVigne added 13 points.

Whitehall 75 Montague 47: The Vikings topped rival Montague in a WMC battle on Thursday. The middle two quarters were the key for Whitehall, as they outscored Montague 41-23. Whitehall shot 59% from inside the arc. Drew Collins led Montague with 15 points.
