The Lowell Red Arrows continued their strong start with another win on Friday against the Northview Wildcats. The fell behind early, but they ultimately came away with a 27-6 victory.

After a scoreless first quarter, Northview took an early lead. Eric Mendez booted a twenty-five yard field goal to give the Wildcats a 3-0 advantage that they would take into the locker room.

Coming out of the locker room, Lowell started to take over. The defense provided the first spark when Dillon Hieshetter intercepted a pass and returned it to the end zone. Mendez’ second field goal, a thirty-three yard boot, evened the score at six.

Lowell was not done scoring in the third quarter, as they reeled off two straight scores. A fifty-three yard drive was capped off by a one-yard Doak Dean touchdown plunge. On their next possession, Nathan Clark broke off a fifty-yard sprint to the end zone. The Red Arrows took this 20-6 edge to the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Lowell’s defense made another big play. Conner Lixie intercepted a pass and ran it to the end zone from twenty yards.

With the victory, Lowell now sits at 2-0. They will take on Greenville next week. Northview is 1-1, and they will face the East Grand Rapids Pioneers next Friday. That game will be LIVE on MSR.
