The Fowler football team eliminated Carson City-Crystal in a “Battle of the Eagles” on Friday. Fowler got into the end zone four times more frequently than CCC in a 35-7 rout.
Cade Bolen got CCC on the board first with a 4-yard touchdown run with 6:11 to go in the first quarter. From there, it was all Fowler.
Jacob Halfmann had himself a game with five touchdowns. In the first quarter, he passed to Zach Halfmann for a 5-yard touchdown, and he added a 1-yard run. This put Fowler ahead 14-7.
Halfmann then added a 1-yard run along with a 19-yard pass to Cohen. Again, successful PATs created a 28-7 halftime lead.
In the second half, Halfmann and Halfmann paired up for the final score, a 6-yard toss.
With the victory, Fowler advances to next week’s District Finals against Beal City. The Aggies defeated White Cloud in round 1.
