White Cloud wins shootout with Lakeview, 37-32, and secures 2nd place in the CSAA Silver.
On the defensive side of the ball for the Indians, they had a dozen players record a tackle. Carlos Brown paced the pack with 18 tackles and a sack. Jace Silverthorn was right behind Brown with 17 tackles and an interception. Lloyd Sebright-Johnson picked up nine tackles.
The electric White Cloud offense was led by Silverthorn, who ran for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Silverthorn recorded a passing touchdown to Nate Compeau, one of Compeau’s two touchdowns. Mason Ruether threw for a touchdown and rushed for one.
The Indians improve their record to 6-2. They will travel south to White Pigeon next week. Lakeview falls to 3-5. They hit the road to Stanton to face Central Montcalm.
