The action has been wide spread across the MSR coverage area throughout the weekend and into Monday. A quick recap of these contests:

 

BOYS BOWLING

Byron Center 17 def East GR 13: The Bulldogs move to 5-0 in the OK White with a win over the Pioneers. Josh Boersma (197-241) and Jeff Wheeler (221-194) led the Bulldogs, while Finn Moher (235) and Corbin Olsson (223-251) paced the Pioneers.

Frankenmuth 18 def Freeland 12: The Eagles bested the Falcons in a TVC match on Saturday. It was a close match, with only fifteen pins swinging the match in Frankenmuth’s favor. Cameron Severs led the way with a 213.

Greenville 23 def Forest Hills Northern 7: The ‘Jackets topped FHN on Monday. Devin Knickerbocker (212-186) led the Jackets, while Logan Noble (202) and Anthony Mangold (198) posted strong individual games.

Hudsonville Invitational: The Hudsonville Eagles won the Hudsonville Invitational over the weekend. They posted a 2891 total, 35 pins ahead of second place Kenowa Hills. East Kentwood finished third with 2799 pins. Luke Buck (Kenowa Hills, 493), Owen Alston (Hudsonville, 465), James Ansell (EK, 459), Michael Willshire (Middleville, 453), and Alec Bisterfield (Caledonia, 445) made the All-Tournament team, while Isaac Wagner posted the tournament high score (269).

Hudsonville 29 def Rockford 1: The Eagles edged the Rams in Boys Bowling, nearly shutting Rockford out. Ethan Blouw paced the team with a 224-235 series, while Jaxson Wicker added a 226-228. Sam Colby led Rockford with a 188-219.

Mattawan 16 def Portage Central 14: The Wildcats captured a victory over the Mustangs on Saturday, thanks to two strong single game performances. Tyler Pierce rolled a 149 and Charlie Johnson tossed a 253 to help Mattawan emerge with a victory. Tim Brake rolled a 192 for the high score on the Portage Central side.

Northview 20 def GR Christian 10: The Wildcats topped the Eagles in OK White action on Monday. Ryan Carpenter (217), Ethan Holt (209-199) and Kyle Pranger (184-195) posted the scoreboard for Northview, while Levi Heereman (185-206) and Jerry LaRave (191-220) led the Eagles.

Portage Northern 27 def Grand Ledge 3

Three Rivers 19 def Sturgis 11: The Wildcats topped the Trojans on Friday in a battle of Wolverine Conference leaders. Three Rivers was led by Bennett LeVeck (221-213), while Sturgis was paced by Drake Harker (235-184).

 

GIRLS BOWLING

Byron Center 27 def East GR 3: The Bulldogs cruised to an OK White victory. Mady Kamrad and Jenna Kroft each rolled a 185, while Sharley Bilot posted a 152-168 series. EGR was led by Izzy Montpetit (160).

Freeland 23 def Frankenmuth 7: The Falcons topped the Eagles on Saturday, capturing the second Baker Game and the pins total. Freeland proceeded to capture the pins totals in both individual game sets as well. Jozie Felske posted Frankenmuth’s high score with a 137.

Hudsonville 27.5 def Rockford 2.5: The Eagles won the battle of unbeatens in the OK Red. They swept the Baker Games and continued to perform well in the single games. Makenna Hendrickson (210-202), Morgan Blouw (210-196) and Bryanna Bentley (191-181) led Hudsonville, while Emma Korhorn (191-202) paced Rockford.

Niles 15 tied Sturgis 15: The Trojans and Vikings tied on Monday in their match. Sturgis won the Bakers (261-237) to take a 6-4 lead. After the first set of singles, Sturgis led 13-6, but Niles battled back to force the 15-15 tie. Kortnie Matz posted a 136-142 to lead Sturgis.

Northview 28 def GR Christian 2: The Wildcats posted a strong performance against the Eagles on Monday. They swept the Baker Games and the first set of individual games to take a 19-0 lead. Abby Ludwick posted a 185-193 series, while Julia Frey scored 152-166 to lead Northview. Abigail Afman (174-141) and Ruth Diepstra (132-160) led GR Christian.

Portage Central 21.5 def Mattawan 8.5: The Wildcats lost to the Mustangs on Saturday, but not without some stellar individual efforts. Janelle Wheeler posted a 193, while Mackenzie Pierce rolled a 153. Madeline Ingold (278) and Taylor Harring (277) posted PC’s top series totals.

Sturgis 18 def Three Rivers 12: The Trojans won on Friday against the Wildcats. Lydia Boland (223-181) and Kortnie Matz (147-201) led Sturgis to this victory.
