The 2024 MHSAA football playoffs continued on Friday night, with more hardware up for grabs. The 11-man playoffs saw teams reaching for the Regional Championship trophies, while the 8-man playoffs left teams looking to secure their berth in next week’s State Championships. DeWitt 70 Petoskey 34: The Panthers outlasted Petoskey in a shootout. Abram Larner had two explosive touchdown runs (55 and 89 yards), as well as an interception. Petoskey had a great run at the end of the first half and the opening drive of the second half to get the lead down to seven points, but DeWitt answered back to emerge with a large victory.
