After an impressive win over Essexville Garber last week, the Freeland Falcons would look to see if they could continue that in a week four matchup with Bridgeport. Freeland had themselves in a battle through much of the first half before dominating the rest of the way over the Dukes. This week, they put together their most thorough performance yet.

The Falcons would get on the board early and often in the first quarter. They would strike first on a Ty Fournier 12-yard touchdown run. Jake Metiva paid off the two-point conversion and Freeland would lead, 8-0. Metiva got in on the action yet again, this time on how own touchdown run of 9-yards. Sam Talaga would take in the two-point try and it was all Falcons early, 16-0. Metiva would then find Tristan Comer through the air on a 62-yard touchdown pass. It was the first play of the drive and Freeland would find themselves with a 24-0 lead heading into the second quarter.

New quarter, same story for Freeland. Talaga would get the fun started for the Falcons on a 25-yard touchdown run. It was another one play drive from the Freeland offense and it made it a 32-0 game after a Eli Murphy successful two-point try. Fournier would find his way into the endzone again on a 13-yard touchdown run. It would give Freeland a 40-0 lead to that point. To cap off the half, Murphy took in his own touchdown this time. After his 3-yard run the Falcons would head into the locker room with a big 48-0 lead.

It would be another big quarter for Freeland to open the half. They started things with a Zander Wheatley 48-yard touchdown scamper. It was another quick drive for the Falcons offense that would give them a 56-0 lead. Keegan Whelton joined the fun, shortly after. He took one in from 4-yards away on yet another short drive from the Falcons. All Freeland after three, 62-0.

Freeland would take the foot off the pedal a bit in the final quarter but still reach the endzone. It was Whelton again, this time on a 5-yard run. The story continued as the Falcons drive took just three plays to reach the endzone again. That would put an end to a big night from Freeland. They go on to take this one, 68-0.

This was the night for the Falcons, they dominated this one from to start to finish. The Falcons defense would hold the Bearcats offense to just 65 yards of total offense. It was the most dominating performance on the season for Freeland.

Bridgeport will fall to 1-3 on the season. The last few weeks have been tough for the Bearcats as they have been outscored 6-162 during that time span. They’ll have a chance to see if they can on track next week when they take on Garber. The Dukes fell to Swan Valley, 7-54, on Friday night.

The Falcons just keep rolling as they continue to get better each week. They’ll improve to 4-0 on the season. They will take on Alma in week five, the Panthers are sitting at 1-3 after a tough loss to John Glenn.
