Muskegon Catholic Central’s season ends with a loss to Reed City in the District Championship game, 36-7.

The 1st quarter was quiet for both teams. There was no scoring and both defenses stepped up against the run. The only score of the 1st half came with a minute thirty left and that was when Bryson Hughes found a hole in the MCC defense for a 21-yard score on the ground. At the half, Reed City 6, MCC 0.

The 2nd half picked up for both offenses. The Crusaders scored just over 4-minutes into the 3rd. Bryan Convertini scored from 13-yards out for the only MCC score of the game. Hunter Schrink would convert the PAT. With 2-minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Reed City would stray away from their usual run plays and air the ball out. Xavier Allen would find Max Hammond for the 30-yard pitch and catch. Reed City would lead 22-7 after 3.

Noah Morgan would score on back-to-back offensive plays for the Coyotes. Once at the 8-minute mark with a 3-yard run. The 2-point run would be good. The 2nd Noah Morgan score would happen 15-seconds later. This time from 48-yards out. Bryson Hughes would put the dagger in the Crusaders with a 71-yard breakaway run. The 2-point play would seal the deal. The Coyotes claim another District Championship with a score of 36-7 over Muskegon Catholic Central.

Reed City improves to 10-1 on the season. MCC finishes the season with an 8-3 record. The Coyotes will face off against Millington in week 12, with a regional championship on the line.
