The Swan Valley Vikings would head into week 9 playing as good of football as anyone. The Vikings had won 5 of their last 6, with the lone loss coming by just 7-points against Freeland. With their sights on another playoff berth in 2022, the Bullock Creek Lancers would look to see if they could get in their way. Coming off a 48-6 win in week 8, the Lancers had some confidence heading into the regular season finale. But there was one team on a mission on Friday night.
Swan Valley would put the home team Lancers in a big hole early on in this one. The Vikings would grab a 23-0 lead heading into the half. Bullock Creek wouldn’t put together much of a fight in this one. Swan Valley would cruise to a 37-0 over the Lancers in the finale. Swan Valley will finish the regular season at 6-3. Bullock Creek, with hopes of a winning season, finishes 4-5 on the 2022 campaign.
Sophomore QB Colton Klein led the way for Swan Valley in this one. He would go 12 of 16 passing on the night with 3 TD’s. All three of the TD passes would find Drew Kaeckmeister. To go with the 3 TD’s, Kaeckmeister would haul in 4 receptions on the night for 133 yards. Lucionno Finley would find his way into the endzone for 2 TD’s helping the Viking offense.
This will be the end of the line for Lancers in 2022. Swan Valley will head into the playoffs with a lot of momentum. They finish 6-3 overall in the regular season. They will now watch on Sunday to see who they’ll face next week in the first round of the playoffs. Don’t be surprised if the Vikings stay hot in the postseason.
