The Lowell Red Arrows cruised past Grand Rapids Christian on Friday night. It was a one-sided battle, where Lowell won 56-14.
Grand Rapids Christian got the scoring started with a touchdown run from Tayvarie Heard. His 15-yard carry gave the Eagles a quick 7-0 advantage. They would see their lead quickly relinquished with three unanswered Lowell touchdowns in the first quarter. Jackson Reisbig got the scoring started with a 19-yard carry. He added two more touchdown runs of 9 and 34 yards to give Lowell a 21-7 lead.
In the second and third quarters, Lowell added two touchdowns apiece. The second quarter saw a split effort between Reisbig and Tacho Gonzales. In the third frame, both runs came from Reisbig.
It was a remarkable effort from the Lowell star. Jackson Reisbig rushed for 6 touchdowns in the victory for the Red Arrows. In defeat, Noah Funk tossed for 236 yards. Jude Klunder caught six passes for 134 yards.
Lowell is now 5-2 on the season. Next week, the Red Arrows will square off with 2-5 East Grand Rapids in their annual rivalry battle. Grand Rapids Christian is now 3-4 after this loss. They will take on Forest Hills Central next Friday.
