The Fennville Blackhawks saw Ben Peterson return to the quarterback role on Friday night, and their offense flourished. Though they played from behind early, they ultimately soared to a 74-28 victory over Bangor.

Peterson was 18/31 passing for 441 yards and 7 touchdowns. He added 67 rushing yards and another touchdown on 7 carries, and 9 tackles on defense. Max Machado completed 4/6 passes for 50 yards and a score. Machado added 31 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Nathan Griffin was a favorite target in this game, as he caught six balls, four for touchdowns. Griffin also added 8 tackles. Aidan Swingle added two receiving scores, along with 8 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Austin Achterhof scored his first ever varsity touchdown with a 3-catch, 21-yard day.

Next week, Fennville (3-2) has a tall task with Mendon. Bangor (2-3) will take on Marcellus.
