The Swan Valley Vikings are coming off their first win of the year, a close one over Essexville Garber last Friday. The Vikings would come into this Friday night hoping to feed off that momentum to take their second game in a row. They would have a good opportunity, facing a reeling Bridgeport Bearcats team. Bridgeport would come into this one at 0-3, but knew they had a great opportunity to take this one when the two squared off. It would be a welcome sign to a team that has taken on the chin the last couple weeks, being outscored 86-6. Their fate, however, would not change against Swan Valley.

The Vikings would continue to build on their momentum from last week as they would take a 20-7 lead after the 1st quarter. The Bearcats would keep their head above water until another Swan Valley touchdown would make this a 28-7 game heading into the half. Things would continue to fall apart for the Bearcats as Swan Valley would jump out to an even bigger lead. The Vikings would hold a 42-7 lead heading into the last quarter. Both teams would tack on more but this would be a night that was all Swan Valley. The Vikings would go on to take this one 48-13.

Quarterback Colton Klein had a big night for the Vikings as he had three of Swan Valleys touchdowns, he would accounted for much of Swan Valleys success through the air and on the ground. Cody Ueberroth, Cameron Rankin, and Payton Guilbeaux all had rushing touchdowns in this one. Drew Kaeckmeister, Logan Zahn, and Sam Wickham would add one touchdown apiece on the receiving end. Senior Tyler Drain was able to add an explosive 99-yard touchdown return as the Vikings used every facet of the game to put points on the board. The Swan Valley defense was just as good on the night. The Vikings would force four Bridgeport turnovers. Isaac Beougher, Tucker Bedford, and Cal Delsile each accounted for 1 interception. Another Beougher would get into the action as well, Boston Beougher, forced a fumble and recovered it. It was a dominant performance on both sides of the ball for Swan Valley.

Swan Valley now moves to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the TVC. The Vikings will look to keep rolling next week when they face an Alma team coming off a tough loss to Birch Run. They would fall to 1-3, and 1-2 in TVC play. Swan Valley will head over to Alma for the 7:00 clash next Friday night. Bridgeport will fall to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in TVC play. The Bearcats will have a great chance next week to grab their first win of the season as they take on Bay City John Glenn. John Glenn has had struggles of their own. The Bobcats took their first game of the year but have fallen the past few weeks quite handily. They sit at 1-3 overall and 0-3 in the TVC. Bridgeport will have home field advantage in that one when they welcome in the Bobcats next Friday night.
