The Hamilton Hawkeyes were on the road for their 2022 season opener. They began play away from home, facing the Otisville LakeVille Falcons. It was a one-sided blitz in favor of the visitors on Thursday night, as they steamrolled their way to a 62-0 victory.

Hamilton held a 373-70 total yardage advantage in this game. The Hawkeyes ground presence was felt throughout, as they rushed for all 373 yards. Ben Boehm was the star of the show offensively, as he turned just four carries into 134 yards and three touchdowns. Jesus Chico nearly joined him in the century club, as he finished the game with 97 yards on three carries. Eight additional Hawkeyes recorded a carry in the stat column.

The Hamilton defense joined the scoring party as well, with Austin Osborne scooping up a loose fumble for a touchdown. This game was 55-0 at halftime, and the running clock carried the Hawkeyes home happy with a blowout win.

Next week, the Hawkeyes will look to move to 2-0 when they welcome Benzie Central. Last fall, they beat the Huskies 16-8. Benzie Central begins their 2022 season on Friday night against Boyne City
