Fremont 65 Chippewa Hills 60: On Wednesday, Fremont took down Chippewa Hills in a close battle, scoring a season-high 65 points. It was close from coast-to-coast, with free throws carrying Fremont across the finish line. Khalia Noordyk had a huge first half with 14 of her 18 points, to go along with 9 rebounds. Haley Zerlaut (14), Mia Witte (13) and Jessica Bennett (9) joined in on the scoring fun. Shelby Fall (19), Madison Wrisley (18) and Desiree Brown (10) each scored double figures for Chippewa Hills.

Fremont 44 Reed City 34: The Packers took down the Coyotes in a CSAA Gold contest. Fremont raced out to a 13-2 first quarter lead, but Reed City rallied in the fourth quarter. It was a four-point game in the fourth quarter, before some key baskets and free throws sealed the victory for Fremont. Haley Zerlaut led Fremont with 17 points. Christina Malackanich paced Reed City with 13.

Grant 49 Central Montcalm 36: The Tigers defeated the Hornets in the final regular season game of the year. Maia Sexton led CM with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Newaygo 63 Chippewa Hills 39: The Lions defeated the Warriors in league play, completing the CSAA Gold slate at a perfect 14-0. Emmerson Goodin posted a triple double for Newaygo, with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals. Jaxi Long added 23 points, while Barbara Toth chipped in 8. A 20-3 run in the third quarter was pivotal to Newaygo’s success.

Newaygo 40 Reed City 24: On Wednesday, Newaygo defeated the Coyotes to improve to 18-1 on the year. Emmerson Goodin led Newaygo with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. Kayla Fisk added 13 points, while Jaxi Long scored 8. Newaygo was ahead just 19-17 at the break, but they pulled away in the second half.

Kent City 50 White Cloud 24: The Eagles defeated the Indians in the final game of the regular season on Friday. This gives Kent City a perfect regular season, finishing at 20-0. Taryn Preston paced Kent City with 19 points, while Lexie Bowers added 14.

Western Michigan Christian 59 Muskegon Catholic Central 24: The Defenders defeated the Crusaders in a Lakes 8 finale on Friday. It was 33-7 WMC at halftime, and they carried that momentum throughout the second half. Katherine Rauch led MCC with 10 points.

Allendale 60 Fruitport 24: The Falcons wrapped up their regular season with a convincing showing over the Trojans. Hannah Schroeder paced Allendale with 30.

West Catholic 76 Spring Lake 29: The Falcons defeated the Lakers in OK Blue action on Friday night. Abbey Kimball outscored Spring Lake on her own, finishing with 32 points. Emma Tuttle added 11 points. Spring Lake was led by Meah Bajt, who scored 7 points and collected 5 rebounds.

Mona Shores 65 Wyoming 32: The Sailors secured the OK Green title with this win over the Wolves. Khaleeya Cook (16), Olivia Sobczak (14), and Lily Miller (13) were in double figures, while Mia Brown added 9.

Zeeland East 42 Muskegon 31: Maddie Schuur scored 18 points as the Chix stunned the Big Reds on Senior Day. This is now three wins in the last two weeks for East, who was previously winless.

Lowell 61 Greenville 35: The Red Arrows defeated the ‘Jackets in an OK White battle on Friday evening. Three Lowell ladies finished in double figures: Taryn Jackson (21), Braxcynn Baker (17) and Piper Risdon (10).

 

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

Hart 47 Oakridge 35: The Pirates defeated the Eagles in Thursday’s WMC battle. Hart led 20-5 after the first quarter, but Oakridge lingered. In the end, Hart improved to 14-0 in WMC, completing the perfect league slate. Mariana VanAgtmael (17 points, 7 steals), Morgan Marvin (9 points, 6 steals) and Addi Hovey (9 points, 8 rebounds) paced Hart.

Mason County Central 40 North Muskegon 18: The Spartans secured a WMC win on Wednesday against North Muskegon. The Norsemen led 7-2 after the first quarter, but they would only manage 11 points in the final three quarters. Gracie Weinert of MCC led their offensive charge with 12 points.

Montague 42 Shelby 39: The ‘Gue took down Shelby on Thursday to conclude their 2021-22 regular season. Montague used a 16-7 fourth quarter finish to capture this victory. Kendall Osborne (14 points), Emma Peterson (9) and Claire Meacham (9) led Montague offensively. Shelby was paced by Kendall Zoulek, who recently signed at Muskegon Community College, with 16 points.

Charley Klint paced Whitehall with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kendall Zoulek scored 16 points and secured 8 rebounds for Shelby.

Delton Kellogg 41 Fennville 20: The Blackhawks fell to Delton on Thursday. DK raced out to a 13-4 first quarter lead, and kept an 18-point advantage after three quarters. Madisynn Jefferson and Ava Rosema each scored 6 to lead Fennville.

Edwardsburg 54 Otsego 42: The Lady Eddies defeated the Bulldogs on Thursday night to complete a 20-0 regular season, as well as securing the outright Wolverine Conference championship. Averie Markel (19) and Macey Laubach (19 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals) led Edwardsburg offensively, while Ella Castelucci added 7.

Kalamazoo Hackett 40 Saugatuck 26 (Thursday)

Manistee Catholic Central 56 Mason County Eastern 48: The Cardinals suffered a loss in double overtime against MCC on Thursday. Corinna Hernandez (14), Hillary Howe (13) and Claudia Fuster (11) led MCE offensively. MCC saw Grace Kidd (18) and Kaylyn Johnson (23) pace their scoring.

Martin 39 Constantine 32: The Clippers defeated the Falcons in a SAC crossover on Thursday. It was 27-25 Constantine after the third quarter, before Martin closed on a strong run. Maddy Bodgan scored 7 of her 13 points in the final frame. Makala Goddard (11) and Gracie Shettler (13) were also in double figures for Martin.
