The Tri-County Vikings have been long-time rivals with the Grant Tigers. This week, the stakes were higher as a spot in the District Finals was on the line. Tri-County was ready, scoring the first 36 points in this game to seize control and advance. The Vikings captured a 36-14 victory.

Nate Lovell got things rolling with a 3-yard touchdown run. A conversion pass from Tyler Tompkins to Ian Boden put the Vikings ahead 8-0, a lead that would hold through the first.

In the second quarter, Tompkins used his legs on a short run. Trent Behrenwald extended that lead with his 11-yard touchdown pass to Stuart Gould. This allowed Tri-County to take a 28-0 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, Nate Lovell got going once again with a 1-yard plunge. A conversion pass to Braden Hallman made it a 36-point game, guaranteeing running correctly. This booted the running clock info effect.

Grant would score late in this game, but their fate was already decided. Brady Jacobs ended up with 164 rushing yards. Jacobs was also 6/10 passing for 53 yards, and two touchdowns. On defense, Brady Jacobs had a team high ten tackles, and he also recorded an interception.

Tri-County will advance to Oakridge after the Eagles defeated Big Rapids.
