The Bridgman Bees are off to a blistering start, and that continued once again on Friday. They took on St Joseph Lake Michigan Catholic, and had little trouble, securing a 68-0 victory.
Reid Haskins had another strong day with 6 total touchdowns. He completed 6/7 passes for 134 yards and two scores, and he turned seven carries into 109 yards and four touchdowns.
Jayce Warren and Tanner Peters each caught touchdowns from Haskins. Clark Smith, Christian Dinges, Tyler Schmitke and Zack Teed all added to the scoring column with rushing touchdowns.
On defense, Haskins and Kaden Lies led the team with 6 tackles. Jayce Warren and Christian Dinges added 5. Wade Haskins secured an interception. This was the fourth straight shutout victory for Bridgman.
The Bees, now 6-0 on the year, have outscored their opponents 352-22 this fall. Over the past four games, they have outscored their opponents 237-0. Next week, Bridgman will face the Eau Claire Beavers, who are 2-4 after their forfeit this week. SJLMC slides to 0-6 with this loss, having been outscored 36-393 in those games. Next week, they will face Tri-Unity.
