The Allendale Falcons scored early and often in their 43-6 victory over Holland Christian. Cole DiPiazza got things started with a 33-yard touchdown run. On their next drive, Allendale got a touchdown run from Mike Casler, who found the end zone from 11 yards out. DiPiazza returned to the scoring column to finish the frame, a 65-yard sprint through the Maroons’ defense. Holland Christian would score on a 6-yard carry by Will Alderink.
Already ahead by fifteen points, Allendale finished the game with a 22-0 run. In the second quarter, Christian Meekhof scored from 9 yards out. In the third frame, the strong rushing attack continued. Cole DiPiazza found the end zone a third time on a 59-yard jaunt. Tyler Sparks rounded out the scoring with a 35-yard touchdown run.
Allendale rushed for 328 yards in this game. Cole DiPiazza was the feature back with 18 carries for 265 yards. Connor Woods (7 tackles), Dom Tejada (6 tackles, 1 sack), and Kaden MacColoug (2 sacks) led the Falcons’ defense.
Reeves Taylor led Holland Christian with 15/32 passing for 166 yards. Will Alderink was bottled up, as the Maroons’ best offensive weapon had just 36 rushing yards. Benjamin Nelson paced the receivers with 58 yards.
Next week, Allendale (3-3) will take on Hamilton. Holland Christian (1-5) will look to bounce back against Fruitport.
