East Grand Rapids jumped out to an early lead after the GR Christian Eagles intercepted a Ian Masek pass intended for Aiden Stadel at the 2 yard line. Two plays later the officials signaled a Safety and the Pioneers led 2-0. Nick Collins would get credit for the tackle, but the entire defense should take the credit. East would continue to score the next 13 points. A pair of Milanowski short scores, from 2 and then again 3 yards out would see the score board read East 15 GR Christian 0.

The Eagles would then put up the next 22 points. Included in the scoring would be passes from Derrek Dykema to Aviere Thomas for 64 yards and one to Joe DeVries for 65 yards. Next would be a 20 yard pitch and catch to Marcellus VanderKodde. Add in a Safety after a bad snap sent East QB Masek into the endzone to cover the ball up and avoid a free 7 points to the Eagles. Final Score 22-15 GR Christian.

With the win the Eagles record improves to 2-3, and next week they will finish the regular season at Greenville (0-5).

The loss drops the Pioneers record to 2-3, Next week the OK White leading 5-0 Byron Center Bulldogs close out the regular season at Memorial Stadium.
