Big Rapids 39 Fruitport 7: The Cardinals scored 25 unanswered points to dominate the Trojans. Cole Haist was 12/18 passing for 184 yards and two scores, while also rushing 15 times for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Jack Bollman (134) and Wyatt Skiera (129) also both eclipsed 125 rushing yards, as the Cardinals rushed for 331 as a team, averaging 9.7 yards per carry.

Caledonia 56 Reeths-Puffer 21: The Fighting Scots are 2-0 after disassembling the Rockets. Bryce Backus was 9/12 passing for 105 yards and four scores. Aaron Collins and Lincoln Senti each hauled in two receiving touchdowns. Caledonia outgained RP 435-167 in this victory.

East Kentwood 43 Byron Center 14: The Falcons soared past the Bulldogs in a non-league showdown. Kayd Coffman finished 18/25 passing for 268 yards and three scores, while adding 51 rushing yards and another touchdown. Nasir Williams rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns, while Ahman Edmonds had 118 receiving yards. EK outgained Byron Center 503-352. Cam Payne had 84 rushing yards and a score on 20 carries in defeat.
Forest Hills Eastern 42 Greenville 14: The ‘Jackets stung first, but FHE scored 42 unanswered to dominate Greenville. Jordan Shabazz rushed for three touchdowns, finishing with 18 carries for 94 yards.

Holland Christian 35 Comstock Park 19: The Maroons are 2-0 after taking down the Panthers. Grif Leuuw was 15/22 for 130 and two touchdowns. Zaye Myaard added 84 rushing yards, while Simon Grotenhuis had a team high 7 receptions for 48 yards. The Holland Christian defense forced five turnovers (four interceptions, one fumble) and logged four sacks.

Jenison 23 Forest Hills Northern 7: Jenison is 2-0 for the first time since 2007 with this win over FHN. Brody Schuitema had 35 carries for 229 yards and two touchdowns for the victors.

Ludington 54 Mason County Central 13: It was another big night for Cam Gunsell, as he rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two more. This stellar performance helped the Orioles regain the Lumbermen’s Trophy.
Manistee 36 Fremont 24: Wyatt Protasiewicz had 16 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns for the Mariners. Dayvion Neal-Berry threw just seven passes but completed five for 158 yards and three scores. Braylen Zimmerman was the receiver for all three passing scores for Manistee. In defeat, Bradyen Crosley was responsible for all three touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air.

Riverview Gabriel Richard 41 Muskegon Catholic Central 40 (F/OT): These two parochial powers battled all night long. MCC elected to attempt a two-point try in the extra frame, and the failed conversion gave RGR the narrow victory. Timmy Railling was absolutely remarkable in this game, turning 39 carries into 301 yards and five touchdowns.

Bridgman 50 Twin City Sharks 8: The Bees thrashed the Sharks, outgaining them 337-57 in the victory. This game was 22-0 after one, 28-0 at the half, and 42-0 early in the third quarter before TCS got on the scoreboard with an Evan Watts touchdown run.
