Some of the biggest shakeups of the year in our power poll, especially on the girls side last week have now brought us to the final two weeks of conference races across Michigan with the playoffs and final district seeding now looming large, as the boys tournament will lock in this Sunday the 16th.
Here’s a look first at our RE/MAX United Power Poll for 2/10 and then some previews for Tuesday’s games you can catch LIVE on MSR!
BOYS POWER POLL – 2/10
BOYS POLL NOTES –
Rams On Top – A big week for Rockford that including a win over reigning state runners-up North Farmington on Saturday have solidified the Rams as the area’s top team, even while missing stand-our forward Jake Bascom for part of the week.
Sailors Moving Up Again – While most of the top five remained the same, a pair of Hudsonville losses opened the door for the Sailors of SC after another perfect week for Carson Vis & Co.
Bucs Back In – Grand Haven was one of those losses for formerly top-5 ranked Hudsonville on Friday night, that win helped vault them back into the top 10, as Greenville narrowly fell out after suffering their first loss of the 24-25 season to Allendale.
GIRLS POWER POLL – 2/10
GIRLS POLL NOTES
Sailor Statement – The SC girls headline one of the most volatile weeks of the year as a head to head win over West Catholic have jumped the Sailors all the way up the top 5 to the #2 spot, with the Falcons dropping a spot behind.
Eagles Are In – Hudsonville picked up a statement win over Grand Haven on Friday, in a reverse of the boys contest that put the Bucs boys back in the top 10 after taking down the top 5 Eagles boys. The win catapulted them all the way up to the 7 spot upon their poll debut.
Don’t Blink -There was movement everywhere but the #1 and #10 spots this past week, be fully prepared to see that type of movement to continue to don’t blink and miss a second of this girls season – which features a ton of very good and very close teams!
TUESDAY LIVE on MSR PREVIEW
Grandville vs Grand Haven – Girls + Boys DH – The Bulldogs will be looking for some revenge after the Bucs picked up a sweep in their own gym last time these 2 schools laced em’ up. The Bulldogs on each side have been playing well as of late, but a statement win form the Bucs boys Friday have now put both of their teams into the Power Poll top 10.
Rockford v Hudsonville – Girls + Boys: A pair of prime time matchups, the #1 girls and boys team Rockford Rams and a top 10 opponent with Hudsonville coming to town for each. Both of these games will be huge and could be a final blow in the OK-Red title races if Rockford can pick up another sweep of the Eagles.
Freeland vs Bay City John Glenn: Freeland basketball is on the air, as the Falcons will have the first of a couple matchups before we’ll bring some playoff coverage of the Falcons. It’s a can’t miss game to start, as the 15-2 Eagles and 16-2 Bay City John Glenn tip off!
GRCC vs FHC – Boys: A top OK White game between teams that can each fill it up on offense and are led by two of the youngest coaches in the area looking to build momentum for deep playoff runs again, a great game that will tip off at 7:00.
