South Christian remains undefeated after their latest victory. In Week 8, they defeated Kenowa Hills in convincing fashion, 37-7.
In the first half, it was an incredible start by South Christian. They racked up 30 points to grab total control of this contest. First, Nate Brinks booted a 32-yard field goal. This gave the Sailors a 3-0 edge.
They would add 27 points in the second quarter. That started with a 2-yard touchdown run by Cam Post. On their next drive, Jake DeHaan kept the football on a 2-yard score. He would score on an identical play just moments later. Finally, Nate Brinks added seven points with a 5-yard touchdown carry and an extra point.
South Christian extended their lead with a short touchdown toss from DeHaan to Carson Vis. Kenowa Hills rounded out the scoring with a 9-yard carry from Giles Ansmits.
In defeat, Jack Zegunis completed 13/29 passes for 123 yards. He tossed three interceptions. Giles Ansmits led the rushing attack for Kenowa with 37 yards. The 1-7 Knights conclude action against Ottawa Hills next week.
Jake DeHaan was 15/23 passing for 230 yards. He added 51 rushing yards, and posted 3 total touchdowns. South Christian, now 8-0, will look to secure an outright OK Gold title and an undefeated regular season. Standing in their way is Forest Hills Eastern.
