The Forest Hills Eastern offense exploded on Friday night, scoring 65 points on Ottawa Hills. This program record gave them a 6th win on the season, by a final count of 65-36.

In the first quarter, Forest Hills Eastern scored first. Bryson Kuzdzal ripped off a 35-yard touchdown run. Moments later, Brendan Thompson and Drew Patten paired up for a 30-yard touchdown toss.

Ottawa Hills got on the scoreboard with a 14-yard pass from Tyreeze Buchanan to Sincere Carter. The Hawks would answer on the ensuing kick, with an 88-yard kickoff return touchdown by Bryson Kuzdzal.

Forest Hills Eastern dominated the second quarter with all 28 points. Thompson and Patten started the frame with a 34-yard touchdown toss. The final three scores came from Kuzdzal. First, he could a 24-yard pass from Thompson. He would then add touchdown carries of 5 and 13 yards. As a result, the Hawks led 50-6 at halftime.

Ottawa Hills controlled the start of the second half with a 24-0 run in the first thirteen minutes. Tyreeze Buchanan broke off two long touchdown runs (43 and 46 yards). The Bengals’ defense also added a score with a 30-yard fumble recovery by Kama Jones Jr.

In the last eleven minutes, the Hawks outscored the Bengals 15-6. Kuzdzal crossed the goal line for a sixth time on the night with a 43-yard touchdown carry. Three minutes later, Max Ferrick added an 11-yard touchdown run. Jeremiah Brown concluded the scoring with a 55-yard fumble recovery for the Bengals.

Ottawa Hills outgained FHE 333-280 in this game. The Bengals rushed for 308 yards as a team. Keymarion Gibson led the way with 154 yards on 15 carries, while Buchanan added 143. Buchanan completed just 2/14 passes, racking up 25 yards.

The Hawks rushed for 187, 135 by Kuzdzal. It was another remarkable night for Kuzdzal, who looks to power his team to the postseason. They wrap up regular season action against undefeated South Christian.
