The Forest Hills Central Rangers visited Legacy Field on Friday night in their seventh game of the 2022 regular season. It was a lopsided affair, with the Rangers capturing a 36-0 shutout.
Mason McDonald got the Rangers started with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Ty Hudkins on the opening play of the second quarter. On their next drive, FHC got a touchdown pass from Justin Osterhouse to McDonald.
McDonald continued his strong play with a 25-yard toss to Ty Hudkins. This impressive first half display by McDonald gave the Rangers a 21-0 lead.
Early in the third quarter, Justin Osterhouse returned to the end zone with a 1-yard keeper. The remainder of the Rangers’ scoring came on the boot of Andrew Novay. The FHC kicker made three field goals, kicks of 22, 23 and 41 yards, to round out the scoring column.
Forest Hills Central outgained Greenville 244-82 in this game. Now 7-0, the Rangers will face Grand Rapids Christian next week. Greenville, now 1-6, will look to bounce back against Northview.
