Reeths-Puffer is determined to crash the playoff party in the first year of the Cody Kater era. Often, making that dream a reality, especially with Mona Shores, Muskegon, and Zeeland West on the schedule, consists of running the table in the rest of the OK Green slate. Though it was not the prettiest game, the outcome was vital for the Rockets on Friday. They secured a 20-18 win over Zeeland East, their fourth of the 2022 season.
It was another strong game for Brady Ross. The Rockets’ quarterback completed 14/21 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. His scoring toss went to Bryce Ross, who finished the game with 61 receiving yards. Brady Ross added 92 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Brody Johnson continues to plead his case as one of the area’s best tailbacks with another strong performance in this victory. Brody Johnson got 21 carries, and he racked up 133 yards and two touchdowns.
Tayte Vanderleest had six catches, but racked up just 36 yards. On defense, Vanderleest secured an interception to go along with 6 tackles.
Next week, Puffer (4-2) will take on Zeeland West. Zeeland East (1-5) will look to turn things around against Mona Shores.
