An offensive battle took place at Lakeview High on Friday. Lakeshore took an early 7-0 on a Trevor Griffiths touchdown from Ryan Korfmacher, a 14-yard pass. Jayden Dennis would respond for Lakeview with a 4-yard touchdown to knot the game up.
A 21-0 scoring run started with an Asher Kuhn 35-yard touchdown reception from Korfmacher. Jackson Bushu would add to the run with a scoop and score. Korfmacher would cap off the scoring run with a 77-yard strike to Zach Warren.
Jacob Kucharzcyk would halt the run with a 20-yard scamper for a score. Devyn Atkins would top the half off with a 3-yard rushing score to take the game to break with a 35-14 lead for the Lancers.
Romele Reed would start the second half with a 38-yard rushing score for the Spartans, however Ryan Korfmacher would put the game out of reach with an 11-yard strike to Trevor Griffiths to push the Lancers to a 42-35 victory.
Ryan Korfmacher was the star, completing 14 passes on 19 attempts for 328 yards and four touchdowns. Trevor Griffiths grabbed 6 catches for 91 yards and two scores. Zach Warren has two catches for 93 yards and a score. Asher Kuhn has two catches for 67 yards and a score as well.
Lakeshore will play host next week to St. Joseph, while Lakeview will hit the road to take on Mattawan.
