The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles travelled north to Greenville to take on the host ‘Jackets. An early swarm by the Eagles allowed them to secure a 33-12 victory.

On their first drive, the victors found the end zone. Alek Wickstrom aired it out, connecting with Tyler Porte on an 8-yard touchdown toss. After recording a quick stop, GRC got a field goal from Jordan Rodgers. The Eagles took a 16-0 first quarter advantage when Wickstrom and Jude Klunder paired up for a 13-yard touchdown.

The run continued for Grand Rapids Christian, as Tayvarie Heard carried the football for a 13-yard touchdown. Trailing 23-0, Greenville finally got on the scoreboard. Case Johnson posted a 38-yard touchdown sprint.

A second successful field goal by Jordan Rodgers, this one a yard closer at 36 yards, gave Grand Rapids Christian a 26-6 halftime lead.

In the second half, each team found the end zone once. For Greenville, it came late in the third quarter on a 2-yard carry by Kam Cooper. Grand Rapids Christian concluded their scoring with an interception return by Malachi Hooser with three minutes remaining.

Despite the lopsided advantage on the scoreboard, the Eagles only outgained Greenville 283-257. The biggest difference in this game was turnovers, as the Eagles forced three while committing none.
