It was a scoring explosion for the Indians of Tecumseh in their Week 2 contest with Gull Lake. It was a back and forth affair to start, as Tecumseh started it off with a 14-yard touchdown. Gull Lake would respond with 5-yard touchdown run from Benson Luma.
The Indians would return the favor with a 67-yard pick six, and there was no turning back from there. Tecumseh would score 27 unanswered points to end the half and take a 41-7 lead to the half. The Indians would tack on two more touchdowns to put the game out of reach and stroll to a 54-14 win. The final touchdown for Gull Lake was a second by Luma, as he carried the football 12 yards for a score.
In defeat Benson Luma was the bright spot for Gull Lake, accounting for 46 of their 169 yards of offense. The Tecumseh Indians are firing on all cylinders. In their first two games, the Indians have outscored their opponents 108-14.
Tecumseh will look to move to 3-0 and keep this red-hot start going on the road next week at Pinckney next Friday. Gull Lake will hit the road next Saturday against Vicksburg.
